When morning breaks across the sky,
When noontime’s warmth reflects His love,
Or evening twilight spells a quiet hour,
When twinkling stars speak of His majesty,
Listen for His voice!
When changing seasons send His order forth,
Or seasons of the heart speak of His care,
In times of sorrow, illness or despair,
Or days of joy, when life is filled with hope,
Listen for His voice!
When life has brought us to the brink
Of either pain or pleasure, days of change,
When friends come near or stay afar,
For every day and all our hours of need,
Listen for His voice!
