Discouraged, Friend?
Then take the Nazarene!
Let go of self!
Let go of cries for gain!
Let go of faulty views—
that point you to the brink of chaos
with its cloud of doom.
Let not thyself wed lower ways,
nor be a castaway from sturdy shores of faith.
The man of Galilee has found you out!
He knows your inmost need,
and He has walked your road…but long before.
Then turn to Him.
Take Him for what He is—a King and Lord!
And even more—embrace Him with your love.
Now take His hand,
and close your eyes—
your need for them is ore.
Henceforth He is your guide.
Your life awaits this choice—
your darkness needs this hour.
There is a Sun to hold within your heart—
a Light to etch your days with love’s sweet power.
Turn not aside, Friend;
but turn to Him!
He is your Lord!
