I missed the day this card was due,
That ‘s why I didn’t give it to you,
Neglected buying, that is true.
But now at last I’m coming through!
So now that your birthday’s past,
And I the card I have at last,
I do present it very fast
So as to please you with high class!
A friend I have who helped me out
When I’m not able to be about
He got it for me on his route,
And said “Give it to her,or I’ll pout!”
